Director, Project Development - Onshore Wind (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Circular Search is partnered with a leading developer to recruit a Director, Project Development to lead their onshore wind business. This role is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is to be responsible for the onshore wind pipeline in Denmark and other European markets. This opportunity offers an exciting opportunity to lead project development initiatives within a dynamic and entrepreneurial renewable energy developer.
Roles and responsibilities:
Leadership: Lead the Onshore Wind development team; overseeing growth of the company’s onshore wind pipeline, providing leadership and guidance to the team, as well as, growing the organisation through the recruitment of experienced project development professionals.
Project Development: Spearhead the development of solar PV and other onshore renewable energy projects, overseeing all aspects from inception to execution.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including government entities, landowners, and regulatory bodies, to ensure project success.
Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analyses to identify new opportunities for project development within Denmark and potentially other regions.
Risk Management: Evaluate and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project development strategies with company goals.
Your profile:
Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in onshore renewable energy project development, with a strong focus on wind.
Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills: Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in Danish and English.
Personal Traits: Passionate about renewable energy, with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
