Lead Development Manager - Onshore Wind (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Circular Search is currently seeking an experienced Lead Development Manager to join a prominent renewable energy developer. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and expand wind energy projects, contributing significantly to the sustainable energy landscape in Denmark and the wider European region.
Roles and responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Full ownership and leadership of large-scale onshore wind and wind-solar hybrid projects. Involvement in all stages of project development including site control, zoning, permitting, surveys, studies, engineering, and interconnection.
Negotiation and Relationship Building: Actively engage in contract negotiations and build strong relationships with local stakeholders, including utilities, municipalities, and landowners.
Risk Management and Compliance: Assess and manage project risks, ensuring adherence to development agreements and compliance with local regulations.
Reporting and Strategic Input: Lead steering committee sessions, report project progress to investors, and contribute to the company's strategic direction in the wind sector.
Your profile:
Experience: 7+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, preferably in wind energy.
Educational Background: A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
Skills: Strong project management skills, deep understanding of renewable project development, more specifically onshore wind or other onshore renewables projects.
Language Proficiency: Excellent skills in both Danish and English, additional languages are a plus.
Personal Traits: Self-driven, structured, and efficient communicator, comfortable in a high-paced work environment.
Travel Requirement: Regular travel to project sites and meetings with stakeholders.
